My children now 16 and 13 years respectively learnt to read using these and it was fantastic!

My 3 year old son will NOT sit and learn anything if I try to teach him directly....but this scored a direct hit! He remembers each character e.g. Annie Apple and has started to point them out to me in signs. There's a lovely story and illustrations about each character using lots of that letter e.g. Benjamin Bunny loves balloons. Ideal for preschoolers!

My daughter (almost 4) has had this book for a few months and loves the characters. It's one of her favourite bedtime storybooks. Although we normally stick to two or three letters at the time (rather than reading the whole book in one go) and spend some time explaining the letter sounds, which you can back up with the illustrations in the book. This book is not only fun but very educational, what else could you ask from a book.

My mother bought me these books when I was three, and I was reading before any of the children at my school. When the teachers found out about the miracle that is Letterland, they introduced it to the whole class - it was a hit! Needless to say, the letters stuck - I went on to study English and am now a working journalist. I highly recommend this book to any parents with young children

My mother taught me using this book at the age of three and I was reading before any of the children in my class. When the teachers found out, they bought it for the school and it was a hit! Needless to say, the letters stuck with me an dI went on to study English at university. I am now a working journalist for a successful magazine. I would highly recommend this book to any parents with young children!
