Mnemonic Phonics Makes the Grade

Published on Thu 3 Apr 2008

The UK Government's literacy teaching shake-up for primary schools is now under way. Following independent review, children in schools across the UK are using phonics to help them learn to read. This is great news for Letterland but better news for teachers and parents - who already know that phonics first, fast and foremost really does work.

We're excited about this development, and about working with the Government and with you, as a new generation of children discover the joys of reading through Letterland's unique mnemonic approach.

The Letterland reading programme provides everything you need to meet, and exceed, the new UK curriculum framework. Our programme qualifies as 'high-quality phonic work’ as defined by the Rose Review and offers the best type of mnemonic phonics.
